The Fitness Industry is littered with Before and After photos – used as a way
to help others believe in the relative companies products and services.

Slimming World.

Slim Fast.

Cambridge Diet.

All endorsed by slimmer looking celebrities following the successful use of their products.

Whilst visually eye catching I believe that we have all become a bit desensitised to these images.

They no longer have the impact that they used to.

I think that one of the reasons is that anyone can download google images of a before and after story and claim it as
their own. we do see lots of amazing transformations at Fitter Body Ladies – it’s what we specialise in after all
—> specifically for ladies over 30 years old.

But I believe that the back story is much more interesting than the before and after image.

Yes a picture can paint 1000 words but I LOVE a real story.

I loved it when I was a kid and my Dad used to tell me stories whilst I was laying in bed.

A good story stirs an emotional response and ensures it is remembered.

Which brings me on to this amazing story from one of our members Helen.

Helen is a 41 year old Mum that lives in Milton Keynes.

She saw one of our adverts back in May 2018 and having got to a point in her life where
she knew she needed to make a change she reached out and joined our 6 Week Programme.

She had tried other stuff in the past – the usual things, but had struggled to stick with it.

To explain her brief journey so far here’s a post she put up in our Private Facebook Group.

 

 

 

 

Just a couple of points that I would love to draw your attention to in the post.

She has lost 2.5 stone in 6 and half months. Whilst this sounds like a lot to lose and is very impressive it works out
at only 1.25 pounds per week on average.

This type of result is only achievable by being consistent.

Consistent positive weekly habits regarding nutrition and exercise.

We provide a customised and totally flexible nutrition system to help out with this and as Helen says it’s easy to follow.

She has a couple of sons and also a husband to please and they all agree – even with a sweet tooth.

No ‘dieting’ where there’s huge sacrifice of the foods and drinks she loves.

Now as much as losing this weight and dropping a couple of dress sizes is awesome the knock on effect as she mentions is the

dramatic improvement in confidence.

Being confident is an amazing feeling.

And I must say that having trained lots of ladies over the years the most common denominator is a lack of confidence at the
outset.

When we have low confidence we are NOT ‘ourselves’

We shy away from social gatherings.

We wear clothes that hide our wobbly bits.

We are more reserved.

We get less sleep.

We do not perform our jobs as well.

So by virtue of becoming more confident all of the above improve.
Helen also mentions a word of thanks for making the exercise sessions FUN
and encouraging.

Unfortunately for most the ‘experience’ of exercise is something that is boring
or intimidating.

Classes can be monotonous and you can easily get lost amongst a large group
where no one knows your name.

And we’ve all felt the eye balls staring at the back of our heads when walking into
a brand new gym…not really knowing where anything is.

phone selfie taking members thinking “what are they doing here?”]
To summarise then.

What I believe to be the key ingredients to success to any Body Transformation:

  • Commit to a minimum of 3 exercise sessions per week
  • Commit to making positive changes to nutrition without giving anything up the things you love.
  • Do something that is FUN.
  • Do something where you feel comfortable.
  • Don’t try and figure this stuff out yourself – choose something where you are supported / encouraged and can get questions answered.
  • Set a goal but focus more on the daily habits that will help you achieve that goal.
  • Don’t worry if you only lose 1-2 pounds in a week – be consistent and let time take care of the rest.
    You DO NOT have to be special.

 

There is nothing heroic about the above.

Anyone can do it – if they want to.

Helen definitely wanted to.

6 months later she is a completely different lady – physically and emotionally.

Her story is inspirational.

Which is why I am sharing it on here.
